- This episode was originally planned as a one-off special in the same vein as The Girl Next Aisle even before Newly Hired, Kinda Salty was planned, and was to be illustrated by ids5621. Only four pages from this version were finished, which were later posted on Spite Box's Instagram account in 2023. Claire had a completely different personality planned for this version, in which she would have been more aggressive and cocky, but was changed upon the development of Newly Hired, Kinda Salty.
