- He is referred to as Larn from his debut until his real name was revealed at the end of Saved by the Beam.
- Originally Laser was not going to return after Belly of the Worm, with Syp The Mighty planning to write him out. This was changed when Syp realized her friend and collaborator Jax Beetle really liked the character, which led to the creation of the following episode and Laser's continued presence.
